When I go to Prison…
Posted on September 21, 2007 by bunderwood
Will Samson asked in his blog today what are the Five Books You Would Take To Prison? The questions come from the recent banning of books in prisons. So here are my thoughts:
1. The Bible (Because everyone is doing it!)
2. The Powers that Be by Walter Wink
3. The Prophetic Imagination by Walter Brueggemann
4. The Resurrection of the Son of God by N.T. Wright (the book has been sitting on my self for awhile now and I think prison would give me ample time to read it.)
5. Colossians Remixed by Walsh & Keesmaat
what would you read?

I think they have free Bibles in prison. Just like at hotels.
I would bring:
How To Legally Escape From An American Prison(state Or Federal) by Theodore Browne
How to Write a Damn Good Novel: A Step-by-Step No Nonsense Guide to Dramatic Storytelling (How to Write a Damn Good Novel) by James N. Frey
The Constitution
How to Spot a Dangerous Man Before You Get Involved: Describes 8 Types of Dangerous Men, Gives Defense Strategies and a Red Alert Checklist for Each, and Includes Stories of Successes and Failures by Sandra L. Brown
Deep Thoughts Vol. 1 by Jack Handey
And I’m still not on your blog roll…
just one minute… ok, should be on now.
